is Colorado’s preeminent real estate development and redevelopment brokerage firm. On the cutting edge of our industry, we create groundbreaking opportunities and have the best professionals exploring innovative solutions, building solid relationships, and serving as regional market experts. We strive to expand upon the services offered by traditional land brokers. We offer land buyers, sellers, builders, and developers more information, more options, more opportunities. We actively seek out and align ourselves with companies and people who share our core principles. Through our First 10 Initiative, we commit to give 10% of commissions to local charities in the markets we serve. We attract charitable, highly skilled, outstanding professionals—with advanced degrees in architecture, finance, real estate, planning, law, etc—who are interested in sharing their expertise. We offer a flexible work environment and lower house splits, so we recruit only the best, and provide opportunity and incentive to succeed. Scott Schorling is founder and president of Residual Group, a real estate advisory and brokerage firm based in Denver, CO. After 11 years working at various brokerage houses in California and Colorado, Schorling set out to create a firm that attracts the industry’s best brokers through flexible work environments and lower house splits. He was never comfortable with firms that required 40 to 50 percent of the commission to be shared with the “House.” Instead, Residual Group leverages technology and lets brokers keep substantially more of the revenue they bring in; so long as 10% of commissions are dedicated to charities that serve local communities. Schorling is in charge of day to day operations, leadership, and business development at Residual Group. He draws on over 12 years of real estate transaction experience, specializing in master-planned community development projects, and has sold over 9,000 residential lots across 8 master planned communities to developers and homebuilders. Schorling received a Bachelor of Science in Policy, Planning and Development from the University of Southern California and is an active member of Urban Land Institute, Building Industry Association and the Downtown Denver Partnership. Scott spends much of his time outside the office guiding clients to stand-up-paddle destinations throughout the rocky mountain region with his company, HIKESUP.CO
